Has Anybody Been Hit Without Being Touched?

An interesting experience happened to me with one of my teachers once. He said he was going to show my the difference between an external punch and an internal punch. So he hit me fairly lightly a couple of times in the stomach to say OK this is an external punch. I was standing in front of some stairs. When he hit me with his internal punch I didn't feel anything, but landed on the third step of the stairs. He did this again a second time.
The interesting thing is that he also took lessons from one of my other teachers. In talking one of the students there he did the same thing to them. Only with them he stood in front of a wall. They slammed into the wall and it didn't feel like he touched them. Both of them experienced this. My friend said he must be pretty powerful. I said doubt it, if what he did was so real, there would be no way he would need to train under this other instructor.
What do you think about this. My guess it is kind of a chi thing(ok now I've doomed it BTDT for sure). Meaning that he strongly projects a thought that he is going to hit me hard. My body says "I don't want to get hit" and jumps back automatically. I doubt it was his power that moved me back, I'm sure it was my muscles that moved me back and he just convinced me to do it without my knowing it.
I've kind of had a similar experience doing some push hands drills. The drill was somebody would push against our shoulder and then we should have to move them back by stepping towards them. It happened with a couple of newbies. Basically I would get ready to push really hard and then just before I stepped they would jump back. It was starting to tick me off because I wasn't getting any resistance. I am guessing they could feel the push comming and because they were new they weren't used to dealing with a lot of force so just instinctively jumped back.
Anybody else run into this kind of thing or got any other explanations for it?
Thanks,
...Bubba

Character is what you have left when you've lost everything you can lose.

He didn't move me in front of the stairs. We were just talking and he decided to show this demonstration. I'm not sure if he planned that(he probably did). But I just wasn't aware of my surroundings. I guess once I landed on the stairs safely, I wasn't overly concerned.

As the meat-headed skeptic in question, I'm calling bullshit. I think you are either a) lying, b) pulling our leg with a joke, or c) deluded. Since you are claiming a completely magical experience, the onus is on you to provide sufficient evidence of it, not on us to disprove it. Therefore, until you, or anyone else claiming magic, pony up, you are one of the three options listed above. Out of benefit of the doubt, I will assume you are merely joking.

You think I'm dellusional ? Fine.
I think you're spiritualy handicapped, you know, - it's like you're deaf, blind, or retarded, as far as I'm concerned.
I really am not interested in what you think, because your thoughts are the product of limited perception.
You think I'm dellusional ?
Huh, - so what.

This is Mr. Ma's website.
Why argue on the internet when you can go and experience it first hand.
