We are no better than Al qaeda. We went into a country and basically murdered hundreds of thousands of people just so RICH WHITE PEOPLE could make more money. Some could even say we are WORSE than Al Qaeda, because we KILL even more people than they do historically! You gotta wake up.

You also fail to understand how some black people see the same events that you mentioned above differently and from a different perspective. I am not black, so I can not possibly understand, but I do know that for a LOT of black people their day to day reality is quite different than a lot of whites. Here in Boston, there is still a lot of racism, and there are parts of town that a white person doesn't feel welcome and vise-versa. These are the facts, the rest of the bullcrap above is just politics.

Gee, Mike left the board over this? I was getting back to ef today after 2 days away and I was basically going to say the same things he did. I don't keep tags of people's track records on this board for the most part so I don't know much about Mike. I am a registered democrat.
Something never felt right to me about Obama. Last week I found out about the reverend. Then it all made sense. Not only has Obama closely allied himself with a racist kook.... but no matter what he said in that speech today he cannot backpeddle on this - because about a year ago he planned with the reverend that if his campaign started getting successful he would distance himself from Wright. You see, anything he says contrary to the "whites are blue-eyed devils" position now is by design and disingenuous.
So Mike come back to ef and we can debate McCain vs. Clinton and refuse to disavow middleclassedness together.
