I recently found out about this movie – Zeitgeist. It’s a nonprofit film made to inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that very often things are not what the population at large think they are. It’s two hours long, but worth it – it’s very interesting.
Check it out!

Moved to BTDT, because this is the N-th time that this movie has been brought to everyone's attention within the last several months.

It was brought up quite a bit during the Freemasonry crisis of 2008.

You can run the forum search for Zeitgeist, and you get enough hits. It has also been posted numerous times on the old forum.

I believe it.

Even though there's some crazy stuff attached to it, I think a lot of the main gist about NWO and all that owning both sides of the political system and evertightening the noose around humanities neck is basically true.

While I DO share the filmakers' distaste for organized religion, I DON'T agree with the tactic of pasting a Christ hit-piece on a documentary about other, only tangentially related topics, that are far more important than exposing religious fallacies. I think the film would reach more people if it didn't set out to alienate 50% of the population from the get-go.

...And Bruce... Speculation? Are you talking about the content of the film? No my friend, all that information is documented and taking some time to research and cross-reference will begin to solidify the story for you.

Example:

The "North American Union"...

http://www.spp.gov/myths_vs_facts.asp
QUOTE
Myth: The SPP was an agreement signed by Presidents Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in Waco, TX, on March 23, 2005.

Fact: The SPP is a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries. The SPP is not an agreement nor is it a treaty. In fact, no agreement was ever signed.

In other words, the SPP is a broad and sweeping agenda concerning the trade relations, border security, law enforcement, intelligence gathering/sharing, and public health policy of three sovereign nations, BUT IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BASIS IN THE TRADITIONAL/LEGAL/CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENTAL SYSTEMS OF ANY OF THE THREE NATIONS! (I believe there is some confusion as to whether or not Bush, Cretien, and Vicente Fox actually did sign an agreement or not.)

QUOTE
Myth: The SPP is a movement to merge the United States, Mexico, and Canada into a North American Union and establish a common currency.

Fact: The cooperative efforts under the SPP, which can be found in detail at www.spp.gov, seek to make the United States, Canada and Mexico open to legitimate trade and closed to terrorism and crime. It does not change our courts or legislative processes and respects the sovereignty of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The SPP in no way, shape or form considers the creation of a European Union-like structure or a common currency. The SPP does not attempt to modify our sovereignty or currency or change the American system of government designed by our Founding Fathers.

Does not attempt to modify our sovereignty or currency? Hmmm... Let's hear the ideas of an "unrelated third party".

QUOTE
Summary: Global financial instability has sparked a surge in "monetary nationalism" -- the idea that countries must make and control their own currencies. But globalization and monetary nationalism are a dangerous combination, a cause of financial crises and geopolitical tension. The world needs to abandon unwanted currencies, replacing them with dollars, euros, and multinational currencies as yet unborn.

http://www.foreignaf...l-currency.html

Just a little "nudge-nudge-wink-wink" from the boys over at the Council On Foreign Relations. This group is highly influential. Some would say that their "suggestions" almost always become actual policy soon after publication.

As for national sovereignty... How would you define the term? What constitutes national sovereignty in the context of our Constitutional Republic? How could this SPP "agreement" affect the national sovereignty of the three nations, and the right of their people to self-govern?

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as "hidden" information is concerned. The mainstream media is criminally negligent and refuses to provide average citizens with the info they need to make informed decisions. Even when information DOES trickle out, there is no serious analysis or synthesis of facts. NEVER are things put in their broader geopolitical context.

Uh, oh... Looks like I might have a "CONSPIRACY THEORY"TM on my hands here!

Anyway, Zeitgeist the Movie is a place for some people to begin examining your belief system and to generally look deeper and wider. Its list of sources gives a lot of URL's that can be researched further.

It comes down to this. "The Man" will not allow "The People" to have their weed.

"The Man"" wants all the money and weed for himself.

Life is a bummer, but if the man hands you lemons make lemonad...and life is like a spiral and a mirror and a rainbow...everything you do reflects back on you.

So we "The People" have to try and love "The Man" and be kind with our brothers underground who can supply us with our weed however we can and someday we will achieve Zion and we'll all be able to smoke all the weed and do all the taiji we wantg.

S- one love , one love y'all.

This looks like a job for the conspiracy theory fill-in-the-blank:

Imagine a <world/country/region> <with/without> <insert event or phenomenon>.

When <insert group> <insert action>, the <world/country/region> was <shocked/baffled/confused>.

Now, imagine that <insert action> was actually caused by <insert group>.

What would YOU do?

I just <read/watched/heard> <insert conspiracy theorist>'s <documentary/website/publication>, <insert conspiracy theory media.>

For some people, it will be shocking. It will make you re-think everything you know and understand.

<Insert conspiracy theory media> proves without a doubt, with 100% certainty, that <insert assertion> was <perpetrated/created> by <insert group> for the purpose of <insert nefarious purpose>.

If you have any questions about <insert conspiracy topic>, I've <seen/read/watched> <insert conspiracy theory media> dozens of times, and I'm willing to educate the ignorant mind.

When the great man learns the Dao, he follows it with diligence.
When the common man learns the Dao, he follows it on occasion.
When the mean man learns the Dao, he laughs out loud;

Those who do not laugh, do not learn at all.

Now the question that really begs itself is "is there more money in being a conspiracy theorist on the web or in being a debunker of conspiracy theory on the web"?

Just sayin.

S

P.S. the answer is actually answer C: Being part of the conspiracy is where the real money is at.
